The key is pressed once to turn on and again to turn off. Have you checked if the touchpad is listed under either Mice and Other Pointing Devices or just Other Devices in Device Manager?

Fixed an issue of Back/Forward function that occurs on some models. Ver. an issue with the left and the right key assignation of the modifier keys. Please refer to the package of the product for the supported OS.

Problem 1: Installing Windows 7

maybe it’s related to inconstant sensitivity, mentioned above. when switching users, sometimes mouse sensitivity and accelleration are messed up. SetPoint 5.10 doesn’t detect my G9 mouse on Windows 7 RC. Says something to the effect of “Nothing detected.” when I load up SetPoint. I have a V470 now and just upgraded to Windows 7 RC and I find the WHEEL does NOT work and there is neither a comment from Logitech nor any solution.

The camera works in Windows 7, but you don’t get the features of the QuickCam software, which actually account a lot for the camera’s use cases. You can use the most recent version of SetPoint (equivalent to beta-level support). In this case the problem is that the mouse and KB are not working. In this case we need to look at the flow of events required to get the hardware working. Run Driver Restore and hit the button of Scan Now.

If I am forced to buy a replacement mouse it most certainly won’t be a Logitech one. I have a veteran Logitech M-BA47 mouse which has outlived 3 computers. At Windows logon for example, when I press the “s” button, it constantly opens functions of suspend or shutdown. I can’t seem to type anything because the keyboard is activating functions instead of typing.

I would hope that if this is a rather large issue it would have been reported to Microsoft. As I stated before, I restored to an early date before the most recent patch time when the machine was working. So I don’t believe updates could have done this either. I tried a different keyboard, but not a different model. They’re all typically the same generic Dell keyboards.

  • By default, laptop computers display graphics on the laptop’s LCD screen, but most laptops include an external video graphics adapter port as well.
  • If you have access to a TV or monitor but don’t want to go through the setup necessary to connect wirelessly, you can use cables to connect.
  • If the touchpad is not disabled in BIOS, Windows may have issues .
  • Most manufacturers include a hot-key for switching displays, but there are other methods built into Windows 7 and possibly your graphics driver.
  • Since very few Android smartphones boast an HDMI output port — most are limited to a micro-USB port — you’ll need an MHL adapter.
  • This allows your laptop to display on a larger, external monitor.

All profiles stored in your Razer Account will automatically be downloaded and applied in Synapse. Connect your first Razer device directly to the PC without a USB hub or extension. Download and install the latest version of Synapse 3 and, if applicable, Synapse 2.0 from Razer Support. Click on the first program, select "Uninstall", then click on "Uninstall" again. A list of Razer programs installed in Windows will appear and can vary by PC.

Once you have viewed the existing Mouse Driver details make sure you want to update the Mouse Driver. The status will also provide the information if the device is working properly. I ran into this exact same issue on one of our PC’s and couldn’t quite track down what was causing the issue. I wanted to respond to michellelieske’s post before I actually read the KB# you shared afterwards. I did boot the machine and look again for this one in particular and sure enough it resolved the issue.

Insert the Windows 7 USB flash HP 4650 driver drive to the computer you intend to install Windows 7. Choose Windows 7 USB installation disk in Destination Path. Unzip the file and execute WindowsImageTool.

How do I enable touchpad in Device Manager?

One of them looks like a touch pad. On the keyboard, hold down the "Fn" key plus the key that has the touchpad icon on it.

The Logitech 3.02 Software for Windows Vista x64 DOES work for Windows 7 RTM x64 and all of the controls of the keyboard work just fine. If SetPoint 4.72 is the answer, well….let’s just say when I went with the retail on Win 7 I had planned to upgrade as well as buy a WebCam. I will most definitely rethink Logitech at that point. Hate to say it, but the M$ wireless products are looking better every time I scroll. Apart from the desire to emulate a wheel on the MarbleMouse, there is NO need to run SetPoint – everything else about the device works as expected under Win7.
